Video Game Mania

Play. Compete. Go Mania.

Video Game Mania homepage
The problem

Casual gaming sites monetise before they entertain: an interstitial, a signup, three ads and a countdown before a game of Snake. The friction is the product, and the player is the inventory.

An arcade that never closes: browser games, brain teasers, IQ tests and quizzes, with leaderboards, head-to-head challenges and an ad-free premium tier. Everything is playable immediately — no download, no account before the first game.

What it does

Built to do three things well

01

Play immediately

Neon Snake, 2048 Rush, Memory Match, Connect Four — free in the browser with nothing between the click and the game.

02

Three categories, one arcade

Arcade games, brain teasers and IQ tests, and personality quizzes — different reasons to open the tab, one place to land.

03

Compete, then go ad-free

Leaderboards, daily streaks and head-to-head challenges give a reason to return; premium removes the ads for people who do.

Walkthrough

How it works, screen by screen

A guided pass through the product — each step is one real screen and what it is doing for the person using it.

Step 01

The arcade

Classic arcade action, free in the browser — the catalogue is the landing experience rather than a description of one.

Step 02

Brain teasers and IQ tests

Memory, typing, reaction, sliding puzzles and logic — the category that brings people back daily rather than once.

Step 03

Quizzes worth sharing

The quiz result is the share, which is the whole distribution strategy for a site with no ad budget.
