LAKA Writing System

Writing, taken apart to first principles and rebuilt as something you can run.

The problem

Writing guidance usually fails one of two ways: too soft to constrain anything ("be clear, be concise"), or too rigid to survive the first legitimate exception, so it gets ignored the same way every overbearing style guide gets ignored.

A rule engine that breaks writing into eleven levels — from signal and grapheme up through sentence, paragraph and content system — and ships as a working corpus of 228 base rules an agent or editor can evaluate a real draft against and get a verdict, not an opinion.

What it does

Built to do three things well

01

Four binding tiers, not one flat rulebook

Hard constraints must pass or the text is blocked; defaults, heuristics and creative options apply with decreasing force — not every preference gets a veto.

02

Every rule states a failure condition

A clause fails when the actor, action or object is missing or confused — turning a description into a test you can hold real text against.

03

A quality gate machines can satisfy

An agent can call the evaluation endpoint, get a structured verdict, and revise until the text clears — no human arguing taste in the loop.

Walkthrough

How it works, screen by screen

A guided pass through the product — each step is one real screen and what it is doing for the person using it.

Step 01

Run a text through it

Get a verdict — which rules the text triggers, which block outright, which merely advise.

Step 02

Browse the rules directly

Every one of 228 rules is stated as a condition and a consequence, not a vibe.

Step 03

Wire the API into a pipeline

Every draft a team or its tooling produces gets evaluated before it ships — this gallery's own pages went through the same gate.

The book

Turn your pain into projects.

Not a resilience memoir. A build manual. Diagnosed autistic, ADHD and dyslexic at 40, I stopped waiting for the systems to accommodate me and started documenting how to build my own. This is that documentation — 234 pages of it.
